Chris Lynn was bought by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020 for a fair price of 2 crore. Although the Australian opener may not get the first chance of being in the playing 11 squad but is sure shot to make a fantastic choice of a backhand option.
The 29 year old is an explosive batsman and loves bounce on the pitch. He will be quite a suitable player for the job in MI Squad. Hence he might be the best buy for Mumbai Indians this season.
The Ausie fast bowler is a must to look out for, he has great stats when it comes to limited over cricket and Counter Nile would be looking to do just that. He was released by RCB this season and MI did not hesitate to bet on him as they wanted a key pacer in their squad who could make it up for Jason Bhrendoff. Hence he is also a good buy for MI.
Mumbai Indians have been four times champions of Indian Premiere League and has always looked strong on the paper. In-spite of not starting at a very good mark, they have managed to retain the top spots most of the times. Hence the winning odds have always been high for Mumbai.
Looking at auction this season, MI was able to grab some terrific players for key spots in their team and thus is looking stronger than ever. This has resulted in Mumbai Indians being the strongest team of IPL till now with highest win percentage of 16.45%.
Mumbai Indians have always had a very well balanced squad. It has powerful batsman in the middle and lower order who can change the pace of the game and some world-class quality bowlers on its side to restrict the opponents at a low scoring total and taking wickets time to time. It has got world-class batsman Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Quinton de Kock on its side, best bowlers in the world Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult and all rounder like Hardik Pandya all of them playing under one roof for MI.
There is no as such weakness which can be pointed out in the team. It is the best team on paper and has also performed well over the years. The only point or a spot of weakness which can be pointed out is its consistency in initial phase of the game. It’s been seen that MI despite of being such a strong team struggles at the initial phase of IPL tournament to gain its momentum and pace in the game, once set then there is no looking back.
